Angie Hentz

I live in Cleveland, Tennessee.   I have two children, Mary Elizabeth and Will.  We have a yellow lab named Drake.
 I am very proud to be part of the OMS family.
 Tuesday and Thursday are the days I am at OMS, therefore, email is the best way to contact me.  I welcome communication from students and parents.  Effective communication is essential.
 My classroom ...
*  encourages bravery
*instills a space where students can express opinions while feeling safe
* allows students to discover their zone of proximal development
*fosters growth mind set
*challenges individuals to generate solutions in diverse environments

An overview of topics offered are the Holocaust, Forensic Science and historical time periods beginning with 1920's which will include musical representations and artwork and other important events making history.
I believe the Gifted population should be challenged.
Several regional competitions will also occur as a means to allow growth opportunities for the Gifted/Advanced Studies student.
I have participated in Facing History through Ourselves workshops.
