Ms. Hartigan was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois.  She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences from Illinois State University.  She later earned her Master's Degree in Science Education Grades K-8.

Prior to moving to Hamilton County, Ms. Hartigan spent 11 years teaching in the Valley View School District, serving the Chicago suburbs of Bolingbrook and Romeoville.

Ooltewah Middle School//7th Grade Science//2018-Present

After teaching middle school for 8 years and high school for 3 years, Ms. Hartigan is BEYOND EXCITED to return to teaching middle school!  She believes that middle school is a period of magnificent transformation and enjoys the celebrations and challenges that come with working with middle school students.

Ms. Hartigan moved to Chattanooga in the summer of 2018 and continues to enjoy experiencing the new adventures that this part of the country has to offer!  She is a lifelong learner who has been known to attend science lectures and take science classes for fun.  She has a passion for teaching and LOVES sharing her knowledge of science with everyone who will listen!
