Biography:
Mrs. Burch was born and raised in south Georgia.  She earned a BFA from Valdosta State University in 2001. Before becoming a teacher, Mrs. Burch worked for a radio station and television station.  In  2005, she earned a MA in Educational Media from Appalachian State University.  In 2006, Mrs. Burch decided to pursue her passion for education and began attending UTC for Teacher Education.  She received a M. Ed. in Secondary Education in 2009.

Sale Creek School//7th, 8th, 9th Grade Math//2006-2013
Ooltewah Middle School//6th Grade Math, 7th and 8th Grade Science//2013-Present

After teaching 7th grade science for the past 6 years, Mrs. Burch is moving to 8th grade science.  She loves the 8th grade science curriculum and can't wait to dig into each content area.  From the rock cycle to space technology, there are so many exciting things to discover! 

Mrs. Burch's husband is also a teacher. He teaches at Brown Middle School, and they have two children, Henry, 9 and Ada, 6.   They love the outdoors! They spend much of their free time hiking, kayaking, SUPing and rafting. You can also find Mrs. Burch working as a river guide on the Ocoee in the summer.
