Ooltewah Middle School opened in 1977 and is home to the Owls. We currently have an enrollment of approximately 560 students in grades 6-8. Ooltewah Middle is a diverse Title I facility in Hamilton County, alive with teachers and staff who share a joy in learning. We believe that middle school students have specific needs and we tailor curriculum and teaching strategies to those needs. The tone is set by the leadership of the administrative team and by the positive atmosphere of the school.
Expectations of teachers for student learning are high and teachers give students personal encouragement. All students receive instruction in English, Reading, Mathematics, Science, and History. Our school offers Related Arts options including our Chorus, Instrumental Band, Physical Education, Art, Career Exploration, and Bible History.
Ooltewah offers many different athletic team opportunities for students and boasts a long history of Hamilton County Championships. The communication between teachers and parents is strong.
